Less than 500 meters from the entrance of Duinrell is the picturesque Wassenaar city centre. Go and explore, as besides it being incredibly photogenic, it’s also great for shopping and for wonderful food!

Shopping

Langstraat has all the shops you will need during your holiday. Treat yourself to a gift from the wonderful boutiques and get the latest practical items from Hema or Blokker. Here you will also find various clothes shops, shoe shops, and pharmacies.

Food

Holidays are a time to treat yourself, and that's easily done in Wassenaar, with its wealth of cafés and restaurants. For dessert, you can visit ice cream-master Luc Blok at Luciano. At Luciano, you can pick your own combination of the very best ice cream flavours. Sounds good!

Wandering

A day of wandering around the local market is pretty much standard for a relaxing holiday. Of course, that’s possible in Wassenaar! On Tuesdays, there is a market on the Berkheiveld. You’ll find sandwiches, fruit, and lots of other delicious treats. From April to October in Hogendorpstraat, every month’s first Saturday hosts the Puur Natuur Markt. There's about 25 stalls with delicious and fair products you can have on the spot or take back to Duinrell.
