There’s plenty of water fun to enjoy at the Tiki Pool, but if you're looking for even more, why not spend a day at the beach? The nearest beach, Wassenaarse Slag, is less than 4 kilometres away. You'll also find several other fantastic beaches nearby, each with its own atmosphere and charm.

Wassenaarse Slag

Less than 4 kilometres from Duinrell lies the beach of Wassenaarse Slag. Within 15 minutes by bike, you can reach this beautiful 8-kilometre-long sandy beach. What makes this beach unique is its location next to the Meijendel nature reserve. Before reaching the sea, you'll cycle or walk through rugged dunes and scenic landscapes. Even on busier days, you’ll mostly encounter locals and a handful of Duinrell guests rather than large crowds of tourists. Near the beach entrance, you'll find several cosy beach clubs and places to eat and drink.

Scheveningen Beach

Whether you visit in summer, autumn, winter or spring, Scheveningen Beach is always full of life. Located around 12 kilometres from Duinrell, it offers a long sandy beach, numerous beach clubs, a lively boulevard, restaurants and shops. Families will enjoy visiting SEA LIFE Scheveningen, where you can walk beneath the water and discover sharks, colourful fish and other marine creatures.

One of the highlights is De Pier, the most famous attraction on the Dutch coast. Climb the 45-metre observation tower, take a ride on the Ferris wheel, try bungee jumping or soar above the sea on the zip line. A little further south, you'll find Hoek van Holland Beach, another popular coastal destination and the point where the North Sea meets the edge of the Netherlands.

Katwijk Beach

The seaside town of Katwijk Beach offers a classic Dutch coastal atmosphere and is generally quieter than Scheveningen. Located around 8 kilometres from Duinrell, Katwijk combines a wide sandy beach with a charming town centre full of shops, cafés and restaurants. The town’s iconic white lighthouse, the Vuurbaak, is impossible to miss. During summer, visitors can even climb it for beautiful views of the coastline.

Noordwijk Beach

Looking for stylish beach clubs and a lively seaside atmosphere? Then Noordwijk Beach is the place to be. Located around 14 kilometres from Duinrell, Noordwijk offers several distinct beach areas. The beaches along the North and South Boulevards are home to numerous trendy beach clubs, some of which are open year-round. If you prefer a more natural setting, visit Duindamseslag or Langevelderslag, located closer to Zandvoort. These quieter beaches can be reached via scenic walking and cycling paths through the dunes. Whether you're looking for vibrant beach life or peaceful nature, Noordwijk offers the best of both worlds.
