Sun, sea, beach

In the Tiki Pool you can have a lot of water fun, but if you want even more water fun, you can also go to the beach for a day. Less than 4 km away is a beautiful long sandy beach: the Wassenaarse Slag. There are also other very nice beaches nearby.

THE WASSENAARSE SLAG

Less than 4 kilometres from Duinrell is the beach Wassenaarse Slag. Within 15 minutes by bike you are on the 8 kilometer long beach. A unique feature of this beach is that it is located next to the Meijendel nature reserve. You cycle and walk through the rugged dunes before you reach the beach. On busy days you're not the only beachgoer, but apart from a handful of Duinrell guests you won't find many other tourists here. At the beginning of the beach you will find some nice beach bars and restaurants.

Beach of Scheveningen

Summer, autumn, winter or spring, it doesn't matter when you come: the beach of Scheveningen is always bustling! This beach is about 12 kilometres from Duinrell. Here you will find a long sandy beach with many beach bars, a boulevard with nice restaurants and cozy shops. Fun for children is SEA LIFE, where you can walk 'under' water, see sharks, beautiful fish and other water creatures. Eyecatcher is the De Pier, the most famous attraction on the Dutch coast with a 45 meter high watchtower. Hop in the Ferris wheel, go bungee jumping or fly off the zipline!

Beach of Katwijk

Katwijk feels very characteristic, Dutch and does not yet attract mass tourism like Scheveningen for example. A nice place if you are looking for a quiet beach. Katwijk is about 8 kilometres from Duinrell. In front of the beach is the characteristic village centre with cosy shops and eateries. The icon of Katwijk is the white lighthouse: the Vuurbaak. You can't miss this one. In the summer you can even climb it if you like. In the summer you will find many cosy beach pavilions on the sandy beach. Nice to end your day at the beach with something nice to eat or drink.

Beach of Noordwijk

Are you looking for a beach with trendy beach bars? Then Noordwijk aan Zee, about 14 kilometres from Duinrell, is something for you! It has several beaches: the beaches on the north and south boulevards and the Duindamse- and Langevelderslag, which are in the direction of Zandvoort. The last two are more in nature and can only be reached via a walking and cycling path through the dunes. On the other hand, there are many trendy beach boulevards on the north and south boulevards, some of which are open all year round.
