Cirque du Soleil brings together artists from all over the world, combining circus with music, song and dance. Until December 2019, Cirque du Soleil will be on the Malieveld in The Hague. The show lasts just over two hours and is absolutely fun for young and old. Order your tickets here. Cirque du Soleil will be there until 8 December 2019.
Christmas Circus The Hague: 21 December 2019 until 5 January 2020
Did you miss Cirque du Soleil? Then the Great Christmas Circus The Hague is a great alternative! The circus will be on the Malieveld from 21 December to 5 January 2020. You can buy your tickets here.
Cool Event Scheveningen: 9 November 2019 until 26 January 2020
This winter Scheveningen is the place for the ultimate winter sports experience. For the 13th time Cool Event Scheveningen will be organized with the now famous 600 m2 indoor skating rink 'Kurhausplein on ice'. You can skate here every day from 10 AM to 10 PM. You will also find various ice sculptures on the boulevard and you can warm up on the boulevard with a nice drink.
Can't you get enough of Christmas? Then you have to go to the Royal Christmas Fair in The Hague. At this market you can find about 82 Christmas houses with all kinds of nice shops and eateries. Of course Santa Claus is also regularly present.
The Royal Christmas Fair is open daily from 12 AM-noon to 9 PM from 12 to 23 December and is accessible free of charge. Location Lange Voorhout, in the middle of the centre of The Hague.
For the eighth consecutive year, the Leiden Christmas Market will take place in the historic centre of Leiden. This market is the only floating Christmas market in the Netherlands and also the largest. Everything is for sale here: hot chocolate milk, mulled wine and even a floating ice rink! The Christmas market is open from 13 December to 21 December and admission is free.
Aren't you afraid of a little cold? Then take part in the biggest New Year's Dive in the Netherlands! Together with everyone else you can take a refreshing dip in the cold North Sea water at the Scheveningen beach near the Pier and the Kurhaus. It's also fun to watch with all those shivering people.
Join in? From 10:30 AM the registration for the Unox New Year's Dive Scheveningen starts. Around 11:45 am it's time for the joint warm-up with music to keep everyone warm. The dive starts at 12:00 AM-noon
A favourite of many Duinrell guests is the Monkeybos where children can play and romp like monkeys. Here you can find a cable car, watchtower and children can climb trees and build huts.
Kindermuseumnacht in Den Haag: 14 maart 2020
Children's museum night offers cultural entertainment for children between 4 and 12 years old. Twenty museums and cultural institutions in The Hague will open their doors on Saturday 14 March 2020 between 5 PM and 10 PM. This will be an evening full of special exhibitions and films, exciting treasure hunts and fun workshops, especially for children. Tickets can be bought via the link.
